Staying put – Duingt, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France

We should probably be thinking of moving further north towards our ferry. However it is lovely here by Lake Annecy, the sun is shining and well, what is the hurry.

We went into the picturesque Spar shop in the village complete with nitrogen cooled vegetables display and stocked up on some lovely fresh supplies and dug in for the day. We have been to the lakeside with the dogs for coffee.

I checked in at the campsite we could stay another night and discovered the book swap so I could finally swap the books I have read from Mullion Red Telephone box swap.

I have been reasonably industrious this morning and caught up on a few days of French lessons and blog writing whilst the dogs have laid alternately in them out of the sun sleeping beside me. It is 31 degrees or more and no one is moving fast. Except for some poor cyclists who are apparently racing through the village this afternoon.

This afternoon we will head into the village again to the municipal beach for a swim. Tonight we have been recommended a local restaurant about a 30 minute walk away.
