We are now parked up at a small campsite in La Maddelena for the next 5 days.
We have done our final Christmas shop, got our panettone and a selection of drinks including mulled wine and gin brought along from home. We have selection of dvds and data for streaming. Let the festivities commence 🍾🎄🥳🥂
It was every man and woman for themselves in the supermarket this morning but we have managed to get a good selection of local delicacies for Xmas. We have in previous Christmases away travelling tried to recreate a traditional English Christmas dinner at great expense and limited success. This year we have lobster filled fresh pasta, mixed seafood, cured meats and cheeses etc. Obviously, as tradition dictates we have bought enough food to last for a lot longer than the few days of Xmas.
We intend to find somewhere nice for Christmas Eve meal out but cater for ourselves on Christmas Day. We have La Maddelena to explore and try to see as much of the Sardinian Christmas tradition as we can. I will be taking a few days off from blog writing whilst we are parked up. So all that remains is for Kevin, Lizzy, Lola and myself to wish you all a Merry Christmas and all our best wishes for the festive season.
